Project “Establishing a youth vocational, IT training and job placement center and rehabilitating an event venue to host local products exhibits and festivals” 

Abra (South Lebanon – Saida)

Description

RMF BALADI worked with Abra Municipality to establish a youth vocational, IT training and job placement center, a playground located in the village square, a library and a garden.

Prior to this project, the village lacked a free-of-charge communal go-to destination that allows residents to gather together and mingle, and to provide IT training. The project became functional in April 2016. The overall total number of beneficiaries until the end of 2021 is 23,230.

Objective

The main objective of the project is to create a recreational place for Abra residents to gather and to enhance youth education.

Project “Establishing community events area and equipping a computer center in public school in Hrar” 

Hrar (Akkar – Akkar)

Description

In an effort to improve social wellbeing in the village, RMF BALADI worked with Hrar Municipality to establish a community park that provides residents with an adequate outdoor space.

Besides, RMF BALADI provided IT equipment installed in the public school, allowing the school organize computer-based sessions and helping students improve their computer skills. The overall number of beneficiaries till the end of 2021 is 126 persons.

Objective

The main objective of the project is to improve the socio-economic condition of Hrar residents by creating a park that hosts events, increases sales, attracts visitors to the area, and improve the computer skills of Hrar public school students

Project “Equip a multi-purpose room in the village’s public school”

Mazreat al Shouf (Shouf – Mount Lebanon)

Description

RMF BALADI worked with Mazreat al Shouf Municipality to rehabilitate and equip a needed multi-purpose room in the village’s public school with sound, lights and projection equipment. Prior to this support, Mazreat Al Shouf village lacked the availability of an appropriate public space for educational and social activities and this need was identified by the community as a priority This intervention, which was completed in September 2020, helped ensure the availability of a public space for the youth to gather, attend trainings and workshops, and organize various activities such as movies projection at village level. The total number of beneficiaries till date is 361.

Objective

The main objectives of the project are to provide a space for activities and workshops, besides that linking neighboring villages
