Project “Establish a blood testing laboratory”

Deir Eimar (North Lebanon – Minieh-Dannieh)

Description

RMF BALADI worked with Deir Eimar municipality to provide medical equipment to a blood testing laboratory in the existing municipal dispensary. The blood testing section had been identified by the municipality and community as a direct need to serve the host community and refugees, as prior to this project, Deir Eimar did not have a blood testing facility and residents had to commute to conducts these tests. USAID assistance included making the laboratory accessible to persons with disabilities, equipping it with the needed machines and testing instruments, and training staff on management, operation, and accounting. The project was completed in October 2015 and the overall total number of beneficiaries until the end of 2021 is 5,821.

Objectives

The main objective of the project is help the residents of Deir Eimar and surrounding villages access affordable and reliable blood testing services.

Project “Equip the village health clinic with X-ray radiography, panoramic radio, ultrasound, and other equipment”

Akkar Al Atika (Akkar – Akkar)

Description

RMF BALADI worked with Akkar Al Atika Municipality to equip the village health clinic with X-ray radiography, panoramic radio, ultrasound and other medical equipment. The project was completed in December 2019.

It helped expand the services of the health clinic by providing additional medical equipment that the center needed. This allows improve the health care situation in the village at an affordable cost. The total number of beneficiaries till date is 3,814.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are to improve the quality of medical services of Akkar al Atika Medical Dispensary, and ensure high quality of professional services of laboratory tests and results. It also helps generate job opportunities for a number of community members, especially women.

Project “Equip the village health clinic with an echography machine and accessories”

Kefraya (Koura – North Lebanon)

Description

RMF BALADI worked with Kefraya Municipality to equip the village health clinic with an echography machine and accessories. This intervention was completed in May 2019; it aims at expanding the services of the health clinic by providing additional medical equipment that the center needed.

This allows improve the health care situation in the village at an affordable cost. The total number of beneficiaries till date is 293.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are to improve the quality of medical services provided by Kefraya Medical Dispensary and improve the livelihood of pregnant women in Kefraya and surrounding village.

Fih (Koura – North Lebanon)

Description

RMF BALADI worked with Fih Municipality to equip the village health clinic with a mammography machine and accessories. The project was completed in July 2019; it aims at expanding the services of the health clinic by providing a mammography machine, since no close medical center in the region could provide this service.

This allows improve the health care situation of the women in the village at an affordable cost. The total number of beneficiaries till date is 137.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are to raise awareness on female breast cancer, improve the livelihood of females through the early detection of breast cancer and generate jobs.

RMF BALADI worked with Ferzol Municipality to equip the village health clinic with a mammography machine and accessories. This intervention was completed in April 2019; it aims at expanding the services of the health clinic by providing a mammography machine, since no close medical center in the region could provide this service. This allows improve the health care situation of the women in the village at an affordable cost. The total number of beneficiaries till date is 479.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are to raise awareness on female breast cancer, improve the livelihood of females through the early detection of breast cancer and generate jobs.
