Works have started for the Irrigation Water Conveyance Network projects in Bhannine and Tal Abbas.

For the BALADI round 2 of projects, USAID is assisting Tal Abbas (Akkar district) and Bhannine (Minieh-Donieh district) to improve and rehabilitate the towns’ Irrigation Water Conveyance Networks.

Implemented by RMF, the two projects aim at enhancing the agricultural productivity of 70 MSMEs including 350 Farmers in both villages. Each project spreads over 100 Ha of lands and improves the socio-economic conditions of approximately 70 % of the resident families.

Earlier this February, RMF BALADI signed the contract agreements of Bhannine and Tal Abbas with the selected contractor for a period of 6 months, starting February 8.

Tal Abbas project covers 2,580 linear meters, composed of 13 sectors, and Bhannine project covers around 2,000 linear meters split composed of 5 sectors.




Within the framework of "BALADI" program funded by the US Agency for International Development in Lebanon (USAID), "Statistics Lebanon" outsourced by Rene Moawad Foundation and Caritas Lebanon is conducting a survey to measure the improvement of public services in the selected municipalities for the first round of "BALADI" program through the perception of various number of community representatives from the targeted local communities.
