In 2017, USAID is supporting Bcharre municipality to improve its ecotourism sector by rehabilitating a safe hiking trail of 780 meters leading to the famous Qadisha Grotto overlooking the Qadisha valley, a World Heritage site. The trail will be equipped with solar lighting. The project will also entail the rehabilitation of the visitors’ restrooms and the installation of a wastewater treatment unit.
As part of the Baladi Program, RMF and the municipality of Yahchouch (Keserwan) are calling for an invitation to bid for the construction of the project titled “Establishment of a cultural and rural tourism center in Yahchouch”.

Within the framework of "BALADI" program funded by the US Agency for International Development in Lebanon (USAID), "Statistics Lebanon" outsourced by Rene Moawad Foundation and Caritas Lebanon is conducting a survey to measure the improvement of public services in the selected municipalities for the first round of "BALADI" program through the perception of various number of community representatives from the targeted local communities.
