As part of the Baladi Program, RMF and the municipalities of Aintourine and Kfardlakos (Zgharta district) are calling for an invitation to bid to buy and equip the two villages with solar power heaters.

Beirut September 10, 2018 – U.S. Ambassador Elizabeth Richard celebrated the completion of a project to improve electricity production in the Arsal municipality.  This project was supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Building Alliance for Local Advancement, Development, and Investment (BALADI) Project.  USAID, through the BALADI Project implemented by René Moawad Foundation (RMF), provided $100,000 worth of assistance for five new 250 KVA electrical transmission stations covering 40 streets in Arsal.  This assistance is in close cooperation with the municipality of Arsal, which is contributing $20,000 for needed civil works and community awareness sessions on saving energy.

Highlights

Within the framework of "BALADI" program funded by the US Agency for International Development in Lebanon (USAID), "Statistics Lebanon" outsourced by Rene Moawad Foundation and Caritas Lebanon is conducting a survey to measure the improvement of public services in the selected municipalities for the first round of "BALADI" program through the perception of various number of community representatives from the targeted local communities.
